The Worldfest planning is in full swing and we are looking for community members who are interested in helping to plan the event as well as local vendors and performers who are interested in taking part in this year's fest.
The committee meets every 2-3 weeks, spread-out at first with frequency increasing as the event approaches. If you feel that the meetings may be too much of a commitment, we are also looking for people that would like to help by doing other outreach or tasks related to the event. Contact me and I can help find the best fit for you!
We are looking for past planning committee members as well as new ones to add to the group. We help organize the event schedule, as well as recruit a diverse blend of talented individuals to perform, sell food and other merchandise associated with their heritage, and showcase their culture.
Our next meeting is next Tuesday, February 26, 6:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, home of the YMCA International Learning Center. The address for the church is 523 Main Street, Woburn 01801. We will be having our meeting upstairs, and I will make certain you’ll be able to find us.
