Did you know that slavery existed in the north as well as the south?  Did you know that slavery was alive and well right here in Woburn?  If you are interested in finding out more about how slavery was active in Woburn then join The Woburn Historical Society as it presents ”Against All Odds - The Amos Fortune Story" on Monday February 9th at 7:00 pm at Woburn Memorial High School located at 88 Montvale Ave. 

woburn historical societyThe Woburn Historical Society is proud to present their 3rd annual cemetary tour. This spooky event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19th.  The tours will start at 11:30 AM. and go until 4:30 PM., guiding you through Woodbrook Cemetary located on Salem Street in Woburn.  This event is open to the public and is a great way to get ready for the coming Halloween festivities!

WWI soldiersThe Woburn Historical Society is looking for information on men and women from Woburn who served in World War I. If there is a WWI Doughboy, sailor or nurse in your family tree, and you have photos, stories, letters or artifacts that detail their experiences, the society would like to hear from you.
