Cummings FoundationThe Cummings Foundation and New Horizons at Choate retirement community have announced that they will continue the McKeown Scholars Program for the 14th year.

WorldCome to the Woburn Memorial High School at 88 Montvale Ave to join greenschools to recognize some truly extraordinary Schools, Individuals, and Green Schools Projects across the state of MA, and to review a most outstanding year!  This Tuesday, June 9th, from 7:30PM to 9PM, special presentations and Awards will be given by our Student Ambassadors and other key "Green School Figures". Swing into Spring

Want a great way to swing into spring? Then come out to the Woburn Memorial High School Flaherty Auditorium located at, 88 Montvale Avenue, and enjoy some cool jazz music.  The WMHS fine arts department will be presenting Swing into Spring which will feature the WMHS Jazz Band and the profesional jazz group The Special Edition Big Band. For more information contact Jack Tolli or Mr. Hodgson at the High School. This event is free and open to people of all ages.

Students Take the Stage in WRCT’s Second Production of First Season, Godspell

The Woburn Repertory Community Theatre is bringing up the curtain again at the Woburn Memorial High School (W.M.H.S.), located at 88 Montvale Ave., for the second production, the musical Godspell.  The show runs February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8:00pm; as well as on February 22 at 2:00pm in the school’s state of the art Performing Art Center, Tickets are $22; $16 for students and senior citizens, and are available at the door or by going on-line at www.woburnrep.org.  read more »

Help Woburn High School Build a "Pathway to Knowledge"

brick pathThe Pathway to Knowledge at Woburn Memorial High School is entering the second phase of brick sales and will be ongoing until Jan. 15.   This is an opportunity for community members to become part of the Pathway and also help the Woburn High School’s Scholarship Fund (WHSSF).  Proceeds from the sales of the bricks benefit the WHSSF and graduating seniors every year. Hundreds of residents, students, and businesses that have already purchased a brick in the Pathway.  Purchasers can have a brick engraved with the name of a loved one, a family, a business or group name, with two or three lines.  The prices are $60 for two lines and $85 for three lines engraved.  read more »

"Traces of the Trade: A Story of the Deep North" Showing at the WMHS

movie reelWe at SCI are proud to announce that we will be showing the documentary film "Traces of the Trade" at the Woburn Memorial High School Auditorium this Thursday, Nov. 13th. The screening of Traces of the Trade : A Story of the Deep North will take place  at 7 pm. The film tells the story of one New England family's role in the slave trade. The powerful film moves viewers to reconsider issues of race. A facilitated discussion with "Traces"  family member Dain Perry and his wife Constance will follow our screening. The film is open to the public, and we encourage all to attend and take part in this exciting and important dialogue.  read more »
