Walgreens will sponsor a flu shot clinic at the North Suburban YMCA on Monday, September 21st and Monday, September 28th from 8am - 1pm.  Flu shots are $25 and for adults 18 years and older.  This is for the regular flu shot, not "swine flu" (H1N1).

The YMCA International Learning Center at 33 Plympton Street in Woburn is offering free English classes for ESOL learners in 4 levels from beginner to high intermediate.  These classes will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday  from 9AM-12PM from September 2009 - June 2010.

Join the YMCA on Saturday, August 29th for their End of Summer Family Field Day.  This is a free event open to members and non-members that promises obstacle courses, relay races, food and fun for the whole family.  If you'd like to become a member, you'll be given the opportunity to pay the temperature of the day, as opposed to the regular joining fee of $100.  This event is being sponsored by Bay Path College.

Work off those Holiday calories at the To Hill and Back run sponsored by Batteries Plus this Friday, November 28th.  Enjoy a 4.25 mile trail run to the top of Horn Pond Mountain in Woburn.   The race begins at 10:00am.  There is a $15 registration fee before November 19th and $20 after November 19th. Runners registered before November 19th will receive a long sleeve T-shirt.  All proceeds will benefit the 2008 Reach Out For Youth Campaign. Come to Woburn's North Suburban YMCA  on November 1st from 4:30PM. to 6:30 PM. for one last haunted hurrah!  See our haunted hallway and spooky mat room for toddlers, Vist our Fall Festival area in the gym.  Go on a building-wide scary scavenger hunt.  Snacks will be provided with admission and costumes are welcome!
