Family Bingo Night

Wed, 04/17/2013 - 5:00pm

The food pantry at the Council of Social Concern in Woburn is beginning to run low and could use donations from community members.

Below is a letter from Karen Colatrella, Food Pantry Director:

A recent newspaper headline read, “Hunger Issues Persist Across Massachusetts”.  It goes on to state that, according to a recent study by the Food Research and Action Center, nearly one out of six Massachusetts residents reported that they did not have enough money to buy food they or their family needed at some point in 2012.

This Wednesday, March 13th is the grand opening of Stone Hearth Pizza in Winchester MA (528 Main St.) and they are celebrating in a big way!

They will be donating 50% of the days' sales to the Council of Social Concern in Woburn. Whether you dine in or get take out, proceeds from the grand opening will go directly to support the Council's programs.

Stop by the restaurant from 11:30AM until 9:30PM to take part in this great fundraising effort! Call (781) 570-2299 to place an order for takeout.
