Ch'm. John Marlowe memorialized at WRA meeting
As described in the Daily Times Chronicle article Ch'm. John Marlowe memorialized at WRA meeting, Jack Marlowe received fitting recognition at the recent WRA meeting. I had the pleasure of working with Jack in his capacity as Chair of the Woburn Loop/Bikeway Greenway project, and a number of other community initiatives. For instance, when we started the Citizens Park Concert Series some 5 years ago, Jack was the first person to step up as a local business sponsor for the concert series. That was typical of Jack's generosity and willingness to help the community. He was also active in a number of other community institutions, including the Woburn Breakfast Lions Club and the YMCA.
Jack is a great example of the kind of active citizenship we encourage here at SCI. He will be missed but his many contributions will last.
Jack's life will be celebrated this Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Sons of Italy. Hope to see you there!
