Self-Defense Seminar to Benefit Mission of Deeds

Body Mind Systems is hosting a self-defense seminar to benefit Mission of Deeds Tuesday, March 16th, from 7 to 9pm. The seminar will cost $20 and is open to both men and women aged 14 years and older.

Body Mind Systems is an organization that teaches people to improve every aspect of their lives through martial arts training. If you would like to find out more about the organization, visit their website.

Judy Tanner, pictured here at Waikiki, will provide a presentation entitled: “O’ahu and the Big Island of Hawaii” on Thursday, March 18th at 10:30am at the Woburn Senior Center, 144 School Street. The presentation will include photos of Hanauma Bay, Lyon Arboretum and Pearl Harbor. All activities at the Woburn Senior Center are handicap accessible.

International Festival at th Senior Center

The Woburn Senior Center is planning to put on its International Festival again this year on Thursday, March 25th from 10 to 11:30am. Last year's festival was well attended.

There will be exhibits, music, and food and beverage tasting. This event is free and no prior registration is required.

Scouting for Food

The Scouts of Pack 502 are participating in Scouting for Food as part of our Good Turn for America, We understand these are hard times for all, but realize that the need is even greater. Last year we collected over 1600 lbs of food for our Community, please join us again this year by donating 1 or more items.

Please help by donating non-perishable items.

The Scouts will be distributing flyers around their neighborhoods for pick up.

Saturday March 27th, 2010 is the date and The Sons of Italy on Lexington St in Woburn is the place. Along with great music, the evening will include a silent aution and a 50/50 raffle.
