11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Children and their caretakers are invited to

Joan's Jaunt is a 5 mile road race sponsored by the Shamrock Running Club in memory and celebration of one of the founding members, Joan Curran.

She was a dedicated and tenacious runner whose memory is an inspiration to all runners.

Curran loved running and trained and completed the Boston Marathon while undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.

Proceeds from this race will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Joan's favorite charity, The Home for Little Wanderers.

Woburn Kiwanis is holding its annual Flag Day celebration.

The popular event will be held this year on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 at Library Park. The festivities will kick-off on Friday rain or shine.

The Flag Day festival is one of the most highly-anticipated and well-attended events in the city, drawing thousands of citizens each year.

It features rides, games, food, performances, and concludes with fireworks on Saturday, June 14.
