The Woburn Boys & Girls Club is putting on a Fiesta Shows carnival from May 14, 2008 to May 18, 2008 at the National Amusements (Showcase Cinemas) site at 25 Middlesex Canal Park.

Every year the Fiesta Shows come around offering exciting rides, games and classic carnival food! Fun for the whole family! Watch the local newspapers for information on "wristband" discount nights. On Saturday, May 17th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. there will be a clean-up at Mary Cummings Park.

Clean-up will start at the Babylon Hill field (the field near the old Recreational Field House at the top of Babylon Hill) at 9 a.m. Please bring work gloves. Trash bags, water and snacks will be provided.

Wondering what to do with that old television, computer monitor or appliance that is broken, unwanted or unused and just taking up space?

Have you ever wondered what your grandmother’s silver pitcher is worth, or the clock you picked up at a flea market? Learn the value of your antiques, when they were made and where they came from.

Stuart Slavid, Vice President and Senior Appraiser at Skinner, Inc., one of the nation’s leading auction houses for antiques and fine art and the only major auction house headquartered in New England, will entertain and educate you and your guests in the same fashion as the very popular PBS series.

Individuals are asked to bring one item to be verbally appraised by Stuart. Please omit coins, stamps, jewelry and musical instruments.

There will only be 50 people permitted to purchase tickets to have an item appraised. The tickets are $25 each. Appraisals to be made:

Baypath's career workshop, led by a human resources professional, will help you prepare for your next career move! This workshop will give you the skills and knowledge you need to be professionally successful – from writing your resume, to presenting yourself at an interview, to tips for changing careers. You'll also learn about Bay Path College, financial aid and the college application process.

Tickets for the Friends of the Library's presentation of "To Wake the Dead" may be purchased at the main circulation desk of the Woburn Public Library. There are a limited number of tickets, and they will not be sold at the door. The cost is $25.00.

 Tired of going around in circles all day for no good reason? Well, now you can go around in circles all night for a good cause. Form a team and join the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Woburn!

We will be building a new play area in addition to what is already existing at the Goodyear School. Bring work gloves, shovels rakes etc. Many hands make light work.
