The Mishawum Choral Society will perform a Spring Sing on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Joyce Middle School, 55 Locust St., Woburn. Donn Hill, Director; Sarah Lafontaine, Pianist. Tickets available at the door. $15 for adults; $10 for seniors and students.

The Mishawum Choral Society will hold open rehearsals throughout January, beginning Jan 8, at The First Baptist Church in Woburn center, corner of Main St. (Rte 38) and Winn Streets. Sopranos, altos, tenors and basses who can read music and have experience in choral singing are welcome. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7:30-9:30 PM for spring concert to be performed May 4, 2008. The library now has a book club for high school students, as well. The new High School Book Club meets the first Monday of the month, and the first meeting is Monday, October 1 at 4pm. Middle school students are invited to join the Middle School Book Club which meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm. Each meeting is a chance to talk about a great book, sample tasty snacks and make new friends. The first meeting of the school year is Wednesday, October 10 at 7pm. On Saturday, May 17th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. there will be a clean-up at Mary Cummings Park.
Clean-up will start at the Babylon Hill field (the field near the old Recreational Field House at the top of Babylon Hill) at 9 a.m. Please bring work gloves. Trash bags, water and snacks will be provided.

3rd Annual Horn Pond Memorial Lantern Walk

Gather at Horn Pond, Lake Street Parking Area.
Come celebrate the lives of loved ones, friends, classmates, family who have left this earth. Lanterns are created at workshops or will be available for a donation at the event.
