A Walk Down Memory Lane is a one-of-a-kind film experience, designed specifically for people living with memory loss and their loved ones. Short clips from classic films will be shown, immediately followed by audience discussion and reminiscence, guided by a moderator.
Originally presented in partnership with The Tribeca Film Institute, this program demonstrates how film can be a form of treatment for people living with cognitive impairment. It shows how film has the power to connect us with our deep-rooted emotional memories ~~ the kind that never leave us.

Strength in Sisters, a new group for teenage girls, has recently started at
the Boys and Girls Club. Strength in Sisters’ goal is to provide a space for
older and younger girls to come together, provide each other support, share
experiences, and discuss issues facing women today. In addition, field trips
are planned, such as attending lectures by female speakers. Meetings are being held every Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at the Club, and anyone is welcome.
The library now has a book club for high school students, as well. The new High School Book Club meets the first Monday of the month, and the first meeting is Monday, October 1 at 4pm.
