Pathways of the Patriots
The Woburn Militia of Gardner’s Regiment will present the 6th Annual “Pathway of the Patriots” at the Tarky Field, Russell Street , Woburn , on Saturday, April 28 from 12 noon until 4 pm. This event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by Century 21 Crowley-Braese real estate brokerage, and will feature guided walking tours of Woburn’s Battle Road, with short scenes from Woburn’s history played out along the way. The tours begin at noon and on the half hour, the last at 3 pm.
This living history program commemorates the members of the Woburn Militia, their families, and other residents who participated in and whose lives were affected by the historical events of April 19, 1775. It also celebrates the preservation of a pristine portion of Old Lexington Road, in the Woburn Battle Road Conservation area adjacent to Tarky Field. The Woburn Militia traveled this road as they answered the call to arms that April morning and joined the fight against the King’s Regulars.
