Native American Pow-Wow
Location(s)
The rhythmic beat of the drums pulls you in as you find yourself face-to-face with the breathtaking colors and movement of a Native American dance. As the dancers spin and whirl, the rich jewel tones of their vibrant regalia shine in the sun. Suddenly, the drumbeat seems to be pulsing in your own veins...
On Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, Woburn's Sixth Annual Native American Pow Wow will be held at the Altavesta School on 990 Main Street in North Woburn. The grounds in front of the school will be transformed into a field of dancing, music and other elements of Native American culture from the many different tribes of North America.
Come and listen to the haunting music. Watch the colorfully dressed dancers and dance with them yourself. Browse the tables of fine Native crafts from many different tribes. Stop and have a buffalo burger for lunch.
Do all this and more on June 14th and 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a Grand Entry at 12 noon on both days. No alcohol or drugs will be allowed.
