Joan's Jaunt - 5 Mile Race in Memory of Joan Curran

Joan's Jaunt is a 5 mile road race sponsored by the Shamrock Running Club in memory and celebration of one of the founding members, Joan Curran.

She was a dedicated and tenacious runner whose memory is an inspiration to all runners.

Curran loved running and trained and completed the Boston Marathon while undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.

Proceeds from this race will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Joan's favorite charity, The Home for Little Wanderers.

Events: 5 Mile Road Race / 3 Mile Walk

Place: Irish American Club, 147 Main St., Woburn (next to Walgreens)

When: Thursday, June 12

Start Time: 6:30 p.m.

Parking: Parking at the Clapp School on Hudson St. (off Main St. across the street from the Irish American Club). No parking in the Walgreens lot.

Amenities: T-shirts to the first 150 registrants, then on first-come-first-serve basis. Post-race refreshments and raffle prizes.
