Greek Festival This Weekend
Beginning Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Woburn will host their annual Greek Festival. The festival will take place rain or shine at the Church located at 70 Montvale Ave. The festival will begin at 11:00 am each day. On Friday, there will be live music and dancing by Ta Dilina from 6:30 - 10:30 pm. On Saturday, June 14 there will be live music and dancing provided by The Olympians from 7-11 pm. There will also be a live performance by the Sons & Daughters of Alexander the Great Greek Dance Group at 8:00 pm. On Sunday, June 15 there will be live music and dancing from 3-7 pm provided by Ta Dilina. At 4:00 pm the Sons & Daughters of Alexander the Great Greek Dance Group will perform. At 7:00 pm there will be a raffle drawing and at 8:00 pm the festival will end.
There will be a children’s area at the festival. On Friday, the hours are from 5-8 pm. On Saturday, the hours are 12-8 pm, and on Sunday, they are from 12-6 pm. There will be a bouncy house, sand art, a magic show on Saturday at 4:00 pm, and on Sunday there will be an interactive reptile show from 12-3 pm. There will also be a lot of delicious Greek food including roast lamb, chicken and beef kabobs, Greek lasagna, gyros, hot dogs, baklava, ice cream, and much more.
