Free Concert - Beat Soup at Citizens Park

SCI is pleased to be joining with the the Woburn Redevelopment Authority (WRA) and the Woburn Residents Environmental Network (WREN) to present the Citizens Park Concert Series. Now in its sixth year, this series brings a diverse array of talented musical groups to perform for Woburn residents.

Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to Citizens Park to enjoy some great music and the company of your fellow community members.

Citizens Park is located on Main Street (Route 38) in Woburn Center, across from the Common. All concerts will start at 7 p.m.

On Friday, July 11th, Beat Soup will be performing, sponsored by Michael de la Maza.

Beat Soup has been compared to Bim Skala Bim, Madness, Elvis Costello and The Specials. Their original music is inspired by British Invasion Pop, 2Tone Ska, and bands like Talking Heads and even The B52s! The 8–piece dance band features the classic sax-trombone-trumpet horn section on Caribbean and Rock Beats. They have been together since the early 1990's. A Boston Globe Pick of the Week!
