Event Showcases Woburn Businesses

Woburn Business AssociationBrowsing the many displays at last night's Woburn Business Association (WBA) annual expo & dinner, gave one a good taste of the diverse companies large and small doing business here in Woburn.  In a few instances, the "tasting" part shoudl be taken literally.  As an avid cook, I quickly gravitated toward the table of Victoria Gourmet, which offers a wide variety of spice blends.  And yes, they had samples!

I also learned of another fairly new business here that can help with other practical concerns, namely my cell phone battery that is in dire need of replacement.  BatteriesPlus, located in Four Corners, offers a wide variety of battery products to individual and business customers.  They also recycle all kinds of batteries, which is a great resource for green-minded community members!

This is not intended to be a comprehensive review of all the vendors displaying there wares last night, so I'll stop for now.  But I think it does underline the point that we have a vibrant local business community, one that in these times of high gas prices and uncertain economy we would all do well to learn more about and patronize!

Congratulations to WBA Executive Director Paul Meaney, event chair Anne Denaro of Danversbank, and all the others involved on a job well done!
