Earth Day at the Woburn Mall
On Saturday April 19th from 10:00AM to 2:00PM Woburn will be celebrating its annual Earth Day program at the Woburn Mall, 300 Mishawum Road, which is being sponsored by WREN (Woburn Residents Environmental Network) and The Woburn Mall. WREN is looking for applicants wanting to participate, setting up their displays with the tables provided free of charge. This event has grown each year since Woburn began in 1990 and with the community's participation it will continue to do so.
There will be displays by local businesses, organizations and groups. This has become an informational day as well as an environmental day with information about the goings on in and around Woburn. Also, there will be a grocery bag coloring program for local schoolchildren that attend, decorating grocery bags that will be given to the mall's Market Basket to give out to their customers.
The event will also have give aways for attendees that are provided by some of the participants, such as pencils, seed packs, etc. A free raffle for all attendees will also be held.
It would be greatly appreciated if you or your organization could get involved in some way. If you have any questions call 781-938-0297 or e-mail paulderman@verizon.net.
To reserve a table please call the mall directly at 781-935-2698 and ask for Lori Medeiros. Also let her know if you will need electric power.
