Council of Social Concern 20th Annual Auction

The Council of Social Concern is seeking volunteers for its 20th Annual Auction on Saturday, March 1st at the Hilton Boston/Woburn, 2 Forbes Road, Woburn.

There are limited opportunities, so sign up early. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Below is a list of volunteer tasks that need to be filled:

Auction Pick-ups
2-3 volunteers to pick up donated items from donors. Staff will set up pick-up time with the donor and have donation slip ready for volunteer to give donor.

Pre-Auction
Saturday, March 1st
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
10 Volunteers to help load truck and move items from 2 Merrimac Street, Woburn to the Hilton Boston/Woburn, 2 Forbes Street, Woburn where the truck will be unloaded.

Silent Auction
Saturday, March 1st
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
5 volunteers to circulate around the Silent Area tables and answer questions bidders may have. Silent Auction volunteers must stay until 7:30 p.m.

Claims
Saturday, March 1st
6:30 p.m. to Auction Close
10 volunteers to help organize the checkout process for bidders claiming their winning items. This opportunity includes setting up the claims area, organizing items for pickup, retrieving items for bidders, and helping some bidders carry items to their car. These volunteers must stay until the end of the auction evening after all items have been picked up.

All volunteers must attend a short Volunteer Training on Thursday evening, February 28th at 6:00 p.m.
