The Austin Torpedoes Explode at their Summer Concert
The rain couldn't beat the band last Sunday as the Austin Torpedoes capped off a spectacular season of the Woburn Summer Concert Series at John F. "Jack" Marlowe Park. The community gathered to dance and get their collective groove on to the diverse sound in Woburn center. Drawing to a close the end of the concert series as well as saying farewell to the summer season, the band rocked the night away and narrowly beat out the rain that had delayed the concert earlier in the year.
A great time was had by all as the music and laughter flowed from the center, stretching out all over the community. The festive occasion was marked by the impromptu appearance of Woburn Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Don Borchelt on the stage, favoring the crowd with a few licks from his banjo. Overall it was a great end to a great event and we hope to see you next year; friends, neighbors, family and community!
