Join the City of Woburn on Saturday, July 22 to kick off a great day of family, fun and baseball! The day will begin at 10am at Liberty Park (32 Harrison Ave., Woburn MA), starting off with the Red Sox Showcase. This is a free Fenway Park and Red Sox baseball interactive experience - it lets kids and families get into the game with batting cages, a Red Sox virtual reality experience and more! 

At noon, an "1867 rematch" of two top-notch area semi-professional vintage league baseball teams will begin (Mishawum vs. Websters). The winner of the rematch will play a team of local celebrities including Mayor Scott Galvin, former New England Patriot Garin Veris, State Representative James Dwyer & more!

On Saturday, July 22, the City of Woburn will be kicking off a great day of family, fun and baseball beginning at 10am at Liberty Park (32 Harrison Ave., Woburn MA)! The day will start off with the Red Sox Showcase, which is a free Fenway Park and Red Sox baseball interactive experience - it lets kids and families get into the game with batting cages, a Red Sox virtual reality experience, pitching accuracy stations, steal second base challenge, Green Monster selfie station and giant Jenga! The Showcase will also be bringing by the World Series Trophy from 10:30-11:30 and Wally the Green Monster from 11:00-12:00.

Don't miss Woburn's 375th Anniversary Family Fishing Festival this upcoming Saturday, June 10 from 9am - 2pm at Horn Pond! There will be lots of fishing, boating, children's activities, free drinks and burgers & other free family fun! The event will be held on the Lake Avenue side of Horn Pond and is sponsored by Mass Wildlife and Woburn Lodge of Elks #908.

The Family Fishing Festival will take place rain or shine and no fishing license is required. You can bring your own fishing equipment or there will be plenty available there! Other activities include: Boating in Boston, children's activities with the Woburn Middlesex Lions Club, "The Nature of Horn Pond" film screening and the first Horn Pond Summer Concert that night!

Woburn 375's Memorial Day Ceremony

This year's Memorial Day Ceremony will begin on Monday, May 29 at the First Burial Ground on Park Street at 8am. There will first be a Call to Order led by Mayor Scott Galvin, Cemetery Commission Chair John Sawyer and Woburn Historical Society co-founder Kathy Lucero, followed by a re-dedication ceremony starting at 8:15am.

Mayor Galvin invites all citizens to join the city for this special dedication, honoring the memory of U.S. soldiers who have fought and died while in military service.
