Beginning this weekend at St. Charles Church, Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1, the Spirit of Christmas will begin. Gift ornaments will be on the Parish Christmas trees in the Upper and Lower Churches. These paper ornaments will have a gift request for a person whom may be not as fortunate as others to receive a lot of gifts at Christmas time. People are welcome to come and take an ornament off the tree and help make a person happy with a lovely gift for the holidays. Donated gifts should be unwrapped and have the paper ornament attached to them.
On Sunday December 1, St. Charles Church will host their 23rd Annual Red Cross blood drive. The event will take place at St. Charles Church located at 280 Main Street in their Alumni Hall of the Upper School. This blood drive is a wonderful way to start the holiday season by giving the gift of life. Please help spread the word about the event.
On both Friday and Saturday November 22nd and 23rd, St. Charles Church will be hosting their annual Holiday Bazaar. On Friday November 22, the bazaar will take place from Noon until 6:00 pm. On Saturday November 23, it will take place from 9 am until 2 pm. The event will take place at St. Charles Chuch located at 280 Main Street in Woburn.
On Sunday December 1st, St. Charles Church will be hosting a blood drive in their Alumni Hall of the upper school. To participate in the event make an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767 or online at redcross.org .
St. Charles Borromeo Parish is celebrating its historic 150th Anniversary this month with a few fun-filled events. On November 3 at 4:00pm, there will be a mass followed by a gala celebration dinner at Montvale Plaza in Stoneham. Cocktails will kickoff at 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 7pm! Tickets for this event and the 150 raffle can be obtained at the Rectory.
The events don't stop here because on the following day at 10am St. Charles will be holding a mass/feast of St. Charles Borromeo as well as a mass for deceased members of the parish. This will then be followed by a coffee social and the 150 ticket drawing.
