Fridge in Recycling Bin

On Saturday November 16, the last Appliance Recycling Event of the year will take place. The event is scheduled to take place from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street. The next recycling event will not occur until March 15, 2014. This event will help benefit the Wyman School PTO projects and programs.

A portion of the proceeds will be going towards the scholarship fund for a Woburn High graduating senior that will be continuing their education in the field of environmental education.

People at the Indoor Farmer's Market

On Sunday November 17, the Indoor Farmer's Market will take place at Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. Many different vendors and artisans will be featured at this event. In addition to many items featured at the Outdoor Farmer's Market, there will be locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh breads and cheeses, delicious pastries, and much more. There will also be new vendors at the Indoor Farmer's Market including Shady Pine Farm, which sells grass-fed meat and free range eggs and Matt's Amazing Smokehouse which sells fresh, natural smoked fish.

Documents Shredding

On Saturday October 26, the Free Document Shred event will be taking place at Spence Farm, located at 41 Wyman Street in Woburn. This event is scheduled to take place from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Document Shred event is to help local residents fight back against identity theft. This event will allow residents to properly dispose of outdated personal and financial documents. Disposal is free for Woburn residents.

Some documents that should be shredded include:
- Tax information and Tax returns
- Investment records and statements

On Saturday October 19, Spence Farm will be hosting their monthly appliance recycling event. This event is taking place at Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street in Woburn from 9 am until 1 pm. The proceeds for this event will help the Woburn Scouting Venturing Crew. They have the opportunity to travel to the Bahamas and would be able to experience the workings of sailing and seal travel. It is a 7 day adventure that requires the Scouts to work together as a team as they sail in the Bahamas.

On Saturday October 19. Spence Farm located at 41 Wyman Street in Woburn will be hosting the Woburn Community Blood Drive. This blood drive is sponsored by the Woburn Agricultural Commision and Suburban Propane. All presenting donors during the month of October are eligible to win a $200 Visa giftcard courtesy of Suburban Propane.
