Valentine's Day Parent's Night Out and Party at the YMCA

YMCA logoThe North Suburban YMCA is hosting two events in honor of Valentine's Day.  On Friday, February 12th, from 5pm to 9pm there will be an event called 'Valentine's Parent's Night Out.'  You can drop off your kids at the YMCA where they will enjoy cookie decorating, games, and fun in the bounce house.  This event is $25 for the first child, and $10 for each additional child.  Space is limited, so sign up at the Welcome Center Desk as soon as po  read more »

Pizza with Santa at the YMCA

The big man himself will be coming straight from the North Pole between Saturday, December 19th at 4:30pm and 6:30pm to have pizza at the YMCA. Join all the elves and helpers for pizza, games and crafts in the gym!  Sign up at the Welcome Center Desk. The event is free for family members, $5 a family for program members, and $10 a family for non-members.

"To Hill and Back Trail Race" at the YMCA

YMCARun for a great cause. This race is a 4.25 mile trail run sponsored by the Tanner Tavern. Race starts at 10:00am on Friday, November 27th from the North Suburban YMCA.  The registration fee is $20.

The top 3 men and top 3 women will receive gift certificates from Marathon Sports.  There will also be several prizes raffled off, including some from local restaurants.  read more »

Join us Friday, November 6th for the YMCA's Annual Gala! The event includes a wine tasting and food pairing featuring selected wines.

Don’t miss out on a night full of fun and fellowship to support a great cause. The North Suburban Gala will include a live and silent auction with choice auction items, food, and wine tasting.

Seven New AmeriCorps Members Begin Serving Woburn

AmeriCorps LogoSocial Capital Inc. (SCI) has recently been joined by a new team of AmeriCorps Members.  These new members have been placed throughout the Woburn community, helping several different organizations expand their services to the community during this time of need.

Michael Cooper serves is serving as an Outreach and Technology Coordinator for the SCI Woburn office.  He manages the "Week in Woburn" eNews, serves as webmaster for the SCI Woburn website and operates various other web technologies for other SCI sites.  He has a B.A. in Philosophy from Furman University, an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, and is currently finishing his M.S. in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University.  read more »
