Visiting Mom Volunteers Needed!

JF&CS Visiting Moms® is looking for volunteers to serve northern suburbs, which include Arlington, Malden, Wakefield, andWoburn. Visiting Moms matches experienced mothers with new mothers who would benefit from a supportive connection. The Visiting Mom volunteer, who receives training and ongoing supervision from JF&CS staff, visits the mother of a newborn once a week until the baby’s first birthday. By focusing on early parental support, and emphasizing developing and strengthening capacities, Visiting Moms help mothers adjust to parenting and build healthy relationships with their babies.

Celebrating the Seasons of Life

On Saturday, May 12, the Y will be holding an event to celebrate the changing season and mothers of all ages.  This will be a fun family event taking place from 7-9pm. 

There will be a DJ playing special songs, snacks, and fun games for families!  This event is free to Y family members and $5 per person for program members.  For more information, please call Jodi Crowley at 781-305-2908.
