Chase Community Giving is a program run by Chase Bank, which distributes corporate philantrhopy dollars to local charities and nonprofits.  The distribution of those funds is based on how many people vote online for their nonprofit.

Social Capital Inc, as a 501c3 nonprofit, is entered into this contest. There is a total of 5 million dollars being given away during this contest, and your support is appreciated.

On Saturday, Dec 20th, there will be a Fundraiser to benefit Morgan Cronin, a 5 year old who is fighting leukemia.  There will be a Family Fun Afternoon from 1:00-3:00 pm (Treats, games, crafts, a visit with Santa,  etc.)  Adults $25, children under 12 are free.  The evening event from  7:00-11:00pm will include a buffet dinner, dancing, raffle, silent auction,  etc.  Cost is $25 per adult.   Kids 12 and under free.  Attending both events?  One ticket provides admission to both  events.  Both events will be held at the Sons of Italy, at 168 Lexington Street,  in Woburn.  read more »

On Sunday, Nov. 23, the Winchester High School Symphony will be joined by the 80-voice Scituate High School Chorus for a performance of one of choral literature’s most well-known masterworks, Schubert’s Mass in G. The performance will take place at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 3 P.M.  The event is a fundraiser for the Mission of Deeds, a not-for-profit agency that provides furniture and other essential household items to those in need throughout Middlesex and Essex Counties.  read more »

The United Stationers yard sale has been postponed to Saturday, October 4 due to weather.                                                                                                     

 
It will be held on Saturday, October 4th at the United Stationers building, at 415 Wildwood Ave in Woburn.  It will go from 8a.m. until 1p.m., with the proceeds to benefit the Woburn Council of Social Concern, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.   read more »
